After a long absence from their position as number one in the U.S. Today “American Idol” individual sales success, Adam Lambert is back on top – except this time it is with his new single “If Had You”. The gain of 4% last week (a modest number considering its recent growth), the song sold 35,000 copies – a pothole the recent past, Carrie Underwood’s most recent single “Undo It”
If we look at these sales figures across the Council, this means that Adam Lambert is now in the 200,000 mark for sales of this song. As for his success in others “Whataya Want From Me”, the song continues to sell many copies – with another 16,000 downloads a little further ahead of the 1.5 million sales.
The most impressive thing with these figures is that they come in large part by the casual fans – the most hallowed “Glamberts” already purchased “For Your Entertainment” and these have largely come from people who hear the song and enjoy.
