A lot has been said about the nature of his sexuality. Sometimes I think the pictures of Adam Lambert with naked men are overrated — does it necessarily mean he’s gay? And on that note, should it matter? After all he’s being judged for his singing, not for his lifestyle choices. Recently I came across an article that said, and I quote verbatim: “American Idol finalist Adam Lambert is probably gay, but if he were to come out now, it would most likely kill his still-budding career.” WHAATT??!

Let me put this way: an uber-talented young man will have a failed career if he admits he’s gay?? What year are we in? 1950s?? Adam Lambert has a powerful voice, an incredible range, a quirky yet attractive sense of style, and a very smart performer that keeps his fans on the edge of their seats. I think it would not matter (SHOULD NOT MATTER!) if he is gay, straight or bisexual. Why do people judge artists based on their lifestyle choices? Talent should be and the ONLY basis!

Once in awhile, a show finds a rare gem so amazing that we are all blinded by its beauty. After 8 years on air, American Idol finally found their rare gem — in Adam Lambert! He’s got pure talent, charisma, unpredictability and eccentricity that made men, women, gays and lesbians all swoon whenever he performs. And now that Adam Lambert is in the final 2, can he make it through the end and become the latest American Idol champion?? Kris Allen, the dark horse, is his polar opposite — meaning, there will really fans drawn to them with no mixed emotions about their decision.

Critics have said that the androgynous singer is a polarizing figure: you either love him to bits or hate him to high heavens. Conservatives will likely hate him for his flamboyance. Adam Lambert is also a blue state. He is Hollywood yet unorthodox and bigger than life. He is also said to be gay, or at the very least bisexual. But should all this matter when he’s competing in a singing reality show? It’s not like Adam is running for political office! One wonders why given the hullabaloo about his lifestyle o_O

In a previous post (read here!), the “The Hills” actress has shared that he’s a close friend of the flamboyant American Idol singer and has called out to her fans to vote for him. Now, after Adam Lambert made it to the final 2, Audrina Patridge thinks he’s gonna win the much-coveted title! She said, “I actually was at ‘American Idol’ [on Tuesday night] and went to dinner with Adam Lambert after. And I think he’s gonna win!”

The pretty star doesn’t just think he’s going to win because they’re besties; she also thinks he has the chops to make it all the way and even find success outside the show. Audrina further shares, “I love Adam Lambert. I think he’s so talented, and he always puts on a good show. He’s very talented, and I think he’s the next big thing.” And to show her 100% support, she related: “I have all my friends voting. My family’s voting. Everyone’s in love with him.” WE ARE TOO! =)
