Making an entrance worthy of the celebrity magician Criss Angel, Adam Lambert certainly didn’t look like a reality television castoff at the Warfield on Friday. Wearing a top hat, fringed overcoat and about a dozen layers of eyeliner, he literally appeared in a puff of purple smoke delivering the slinking set opener, “Voodoo.”
Adam Lambert and Daughtry have both managed to hang in for yet another week on the Billboard 200 chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Both “American Idol” alumnae have managed to hold on to spots on this coveted chart for several weeks, but only Adam saw an increase in sales this week. USA Today reported on Wednesday that Adam’s “For Your Entertainment” album saw an increase of 1%, adding another 5,000 sales. Daughtry’s self-titled “Daughtry” album decreased in sales by 2% but still managed to add another 3,000 for a total of 4.7 million overall. In addition, Daughtry’s “Leave This Town” landed in the top 200 selling an another 5,000.
Adam Lambert has admitted that he would love to appear in a movie in the future. The ‘Whataya Want From Me’ star – who is currently on his ‘Glam Nation Tour’ – was asked by Denver’s Mix 100 about his upcoming career plans. “Hopefully to continue making albums,” he replied. “I did a lot of theatre for a long time and I love doing it but it was time for me to try something new and evolve and take a step in a new direction.
